SKY67021-396LF

0.6-1.2 GHz High Linearity, Active Bias Low-Noise Amplifier

The SKY67021-396LF is GaAs, pHEMT Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) with an active bias and very high (+40 dBm OIP3) linearity. The advanced GaAs pHEMT enhancement mode process provides excellent return loss, high gain, <0.65 dB low noise figure, and excellent amplifier linearity.

The internal active bias circuitry provides stable performance over temperature and process variation. The device offers the user the ability to externally adjust supply current and power down the device with an integrated enable/disable circuit. Supply voltage is applied to the RFOUT/VDD pin and RFIN pin through an RF choke inductor. Also the VBIAS pin is connected to VDD supply through an external resistor to control the supply current. The RFIN and RFOUT/VDD pins should be DC blocked to ensure proper operation. Pin 6 ( Amplifier Enable) is connected to a logic “low” (or grounded) to enable the output and a logic “high” to disable the output and greatly reduce current draw.

The SKY67021-396LF operates in the frequency range of 0.6 to 1.2 GHz. For higher frequency operation, the pin-compatible SKY67022-396LF or SKY67023-396LF should be used. For lowest possible broadband noise figure the SKY67151-396LF is recommended.

The LNA is manufactured in a compact, 2 x 2 mm, 8-pin Dual Flat No-Lead (DFN) Skyworks Green package.
